Our Commitment

Miipe is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity, and are committed to providing goods, services and employment in a way that respects the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities. Miipe is committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Miipe's Accessibility Plan

As part of Miipe’s commitment to accessibility, a multi-year accessibility plan has been developed outlining the strategy and related actions that we are taking and will continue to take in order to prevent and remove barriers from our workplace. This plan is constantly evolving and will be reviewed at least every five years.

Information and Communication

Upon request, Miipe will provide accessible formats and communication supports for persons requiring accommodations. We will respond to such requests within five business days of receiving them.  Due to challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, responses may be delayed beyond this timeline. We will work with all persons making such a request to find an accessible format or communication support that meets their needs in a timely manner.

Policies and Training

Plans and policies associated with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) will be reviewed and updated, as needed, at least every five years. We invite you to view our Accessibility Policy.

Website Accessibility

In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards, our website conforms to Level AA of WCAG 2.0 guidelines and is accessible with assistive technology as of January 1, 2021.

We encourage anyone who wishes to provide feedback on the way in which we provide services to those requiring accessibility accommodations.
